Call me crazy...
Call me crazy but I'm trying to revive the W/R pet build, not sure if it ever existed. Got one build in the works so far:
Sever Artery, Gash, Power Attack, Poisonous Bite, Charm Animal, Comfort Animal, Troll Unguent, Resurrection Signet.
9 Strength
9 Swordsmanship
5 Tactics
9 Beast Mastery
9 Wilderness Survival
Yes, I understand its probably a bad idea, but I'd like to hear comments and ideas.

1) Dividing attribute points is bad enough with 4 attributes, but 5? Overkill.
2) Your damage compared to someone who runs max weapon attribute is bad.
3) Warriors don't have enough energy for all this.

Drop Wilderness Survival entirely. Heal sig or Lion's cpmfort are better self-heals. Also, at 9 sword + bm, neither you nor your pet are going to be dealing any serious damage. Bump up Sword to at least 14. Also... with few skill spaces available for attack skills, Axe is likely a better choice - you can have DW + damage skills in fewer slots. Hmm... you're also missing IAS and a speed-buff. Maybe try dropping Comfort Animal and Charm Animal (see what I'm hinting at? )for Frenzy and Sprint?

I wonder if adding a skill like Flourish would boost the energy and make that aspect possible...
But never the less this is what I feared, I'll wrestle with this a little more, but it probably won't work.

Flourish will only give energy for Power Attack. It doesn't work on adrenaline attacks, and I'm not sure if it works on pet attacks.

Your posted build is not too useful. Your pet doesn't really bring anything except so poison and some middling physical damage. And an extra body that will either soak up healing, or die constantly. At least use ferocious for your elite or something. Sever+gash is fine but power attack with all the other energy skills? Tough to keep up. And trolls isn't really much of a heal. It's good for interrupt bait, but you don't even have a cover stance to at least make it a bit harder to stop.

A brainwave...
12 Beastmastery
10 +1 +3 (helm) Axe Mastery (could be sword too... I prefer axe is skills are limited)
8+1 Strength
[skill]Dismember[/skill]
[skill]Executioner's Strike[/skill]
[skill]Brutal Strike[/skill]
[skill]Heal as One[/skill]
[skill]Charm Animal[/skill]
[skill]Flail[/skill]
[skill]Enraging Charge[/skill]
[skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
maybe worth a try if you wanna be a warrior with a pet...

This build is meant to deal damage, a healing elite doesn't suit it at all.

Rampage as One maybe, but not Heal as one if it's a BM elite.

A warrior with a 25e skill? Doubt it.

Oh, right. I always forget about the skill cost for that. How about Ferocious Strike then for a BM elite?

I've seen fairly effective builds in RA run with
[skill]sever artery[/skill][skill]gash[/skill][skill]poisonous bite[/skill][skill]heal as one[/skill][skill]lion's comfort[/skill][skill]charm animal[/skill][skill]comfort animal[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
yeah, it is a healing elite, but you do gain the damage from a pet and the cheapest source of poison on the game, so meh. In a situation where you have no healers it's not terrible.. except for lack of speed boost and IAS *cough*

Why both Heal as One and Comfort?

The main problem with Warriors with pets is if you're against someone with any knowledge of a warriors energy, they'll pressure the pet to drain the warriors energy, making him quite useless.

Just go R/W, I'm sure that'll work better.

Only downside to R/W is that there are better combinations out there to go with a Ranger. I've considered doing this with my ranger but I've found its not the most productive at whatever purpose I'm playing.

dr strange love has the right Idea...one which I use quite frequently with my paragon...
heal as one will replace an entire skill line (tactics) and you can max out your weapon/beast mastery.... which is elite worthy imho
16 sword
12 beast
the rest in strength
the only problem is you have skills that do the same as others HaO and comfort animal???? lions comfort and heal as one????
Hao replaces the need for pet rez, self heal and pet heal,
I would go something like this
[card]barbarous slice[/card] [card]gash[/card] [card]final thrust[/card] [card]poisonous bite[/card] [card]heal as one[/card] [card]comfort animal[/card] the last two skills are optional
this is not such a bad pressure build...the dps is pretty high although on a para it's much better
